This was amazing!! Like Icebound, Michael did a spectacular job on this project. It's great seeing Squared Media's take on the Wither Storm and the story around it. Also, I love seeing the team continue to push further with their stories, not only in making the animations longer, but also making more complex stories, adding new effects and so forth.

Honestly, it's really a shame that Minecraft story mode gets the bad wrap it does.
That whole witherstorm Saga was actually pretty damn good. And the witherstorm itself is just a really good and well executed concept.
Even from a narrative standpoint the command blocks are used wonderfully. To a simple society like the one we see in that world. Such an object would look like a divine construct. Why would they be able to effectively utilize it the way it was meant to? To them the only real simple command they'd need is the /kill one.

Love to see newer items like copper and candles in the animation and not just stuff from 1.8-1.12!

It has been literal years since I last watched this channel. Glad to see that they have not fallen to ruin.

The amount of created animators out there are insane, would love someone or a company to work with to bring audio parodies to life with epic visuals like this.

I literally teared up at the end!! The amount of effort put into this is INSANE! From the environment to the movents to the lighting, this is incredible! Also, the storyline. They never said a single word in the animation but we could exactly know what was happening. I think that worth a mention. Let's give a huge round of applause to the team, they deserve it! Fantastic work, really!!

This might be the most epic animation I've seen in a while, the concept is really good.
I love how you built stuff differently around the things we already know about the witherstorm.
This had an really interesting story, it was short but it went straight to the point. I'm imagining a full movie of this with deeper lore, more developped characters etc... It would be absolutely stunning.
The phantom ride in the sky when fighting the Witherstorm is something you couldn't miss, It's a kinda of fight I was always imagining when I was creating scenarios in my head, also the fight between the protagonist and antagonist below the Witherstorm!

Seeing the Wither Storm again is weirdly nostalgic. Seeing it animated this well makes me strangely happy. I haven't watched Black Plasma Studios/Squared Media in a while, but seeing that thumbnail compelled me to check it out.

Though the animation was good and I like overall idea and story of it, I felt like everything played out much to fast. Like the Wither Storm already appearing after 1,5 minutes of run time, or the time skip at 4:02 not really being acknowlegded. Some tiny scenes to flesh out the story would have been nice, like a small moment between the prince and his father, maybe something with the prince and the guy that helps him later, a scene showing the guards bowing to their new king, that kind of stuff.
I also find it strange that they win the first Wither Storm fight by flying around him for so long that he winds his tentacles around his body which causes them to explode? I mean come on
In conclusion, nice animation, especially fight scenes, but the story felt underdeveloped to me. I'd give it a 7/10 overall.

Gonna Grade this one a B+ for being the 2nd one under square media, love the effort and going with something like from minecraft story mode, feels maybe a tad bit plain but eventually I look forward to more animations can cant wait to see what comes next, remember to do bloopers too those just make it all the more fun!

Its crazy to see Black plasma studios or squared media still making animations for YEARS. And crazy to see all these fans and the growing community. These animations have been the best Minecraft animations since the beginning. Love it. ❤

This was amazing . It is good to see that squared media has decided to focus on quality over quantity. The fighting scenes bring me back to the Song of War days as do the swords.

This was intrusting! We absolutely should get more info on the new kings' past. You guys should make this a series. Definitely go more in-depth about the characters! I loved this ❤ So keep up the hard work. Squared Media seems to be promising a bright future!

1:29 I feel like it would've been better If the wither storm atleast had a build up moment, but I guess its also great that it had its difference between mcsm and the animation
1:41 I like how the thunder syncs with the wither storm for a moment
3:13 I like the music choice for the flashback sequence
3:35 The detail of the environment turning red as the king attacks that knight, it may have meant how he felt betrayed about it.
3:57 This shot reminds me of Animation Life, the part where herobrine sits on the hypixel throne, but the camera movement and destruction of the environment, made this one made it feel more intimidating.
5:11 I like the cartoon-y type of comedy, atleast I mostly see that type of comedy in cartoons lol

I liked the animation overall!

This was an excellent animation, animation-wise. I would encourage you to do a little more work on the storyboarding front - though the story is certainly very cohesive, there's lots of little moments here and there which ought to have been capitalized upon far more than they were (e.g. the prince's reaction to hearing his father didn't survive was very unaccented and should have been given a few seconds more screen time; the villain's demise came out of nowhere and robbed your viewers of what they invested in the fight between the prince and the villain; the phantoms being able to shoot fireballs, though a very cool concept, was totally untelegraphed) - but that all being said and critiqued, you certainly have the storyteller's instincts, Michael. The plot of this animation was very well thought out - it's just here and there missing the final touches that would have easily made Wither Storm Attack a contender for Black Pl... er, Squared Media's top ten animations. 8/10. Take a like, you've got promise.

This animation really was just SUPER well done. Michael never fails to amaze with all of the visual effects and lighting in the animation. The music used for this animation went really well, also the sound effects sounded really good. Well done!!!!

While the animation is beautifully rendered and amazingly animated, it still lacks emotion, it feels forced even. Some scenes feel a bit wonky and repeated, but this video is absolutely amazing either way. The witherstorm animation was amazing and had alot of character and like the power bursts and the opening of the circle wall protection thing was beautiful too.

That was a rather interesting take on the Wither Storm. Though the question remains: how was it actually brought into existence in the first place? Surely the denied prince wasn't the one who had created it himself. If he did, he would've made sure that the creation would obey its creator and not attack him.

i just finished re-watching season 1 of songs of War, and it still holds up amazingly to this day, I really hope one day in the future you could return to the project and make season(i do understand how hard it was to make season 1)

I wonder, are the new armor trims inspired by the armor from Minecraft Story Mode? Some of them do look similar.

I feel Sad how Squared Media has improved so much in their animations, but they are falling down in views 😢

I don't know why people are praising this so much as it is nostalgic but this is a complete recreation, the MCSM One just looks more boss themed. However I am extremely greatful that Black Plasma Studios is reviving the MCSM Community.
Things That are different:-
The wither Storm Doesn't Eat Blocks
It start in a Normal Wither Form
It Doesn't Shoot Fireballs
These are Only a few of the differences.
However I really like that the wither story was animated good + Good Animation as always BPS. :D

The Wither Storm gives nostalgic vibes and the lighting was so amazing! I love Minecraft Story Mode and this animation gave vibes of it too. Epic animation and the same people that were dressing in armor had the same colors of the Order of the Stone.

The overworld eater has returned! This animation was really good, and watching Wither Storm back in action really made my day better, thank you for this masterpiece.

I haven’t watched squared media in a long time and am one of the people who has been around since some of their old videos were new. I would love to see them work with @ranimator to make his fractures series into a movie or have them finish songs of war.

The wither storm looks very horrific. It's like the giant monsters of old, the ones that were from legends and stories that sunk ships and destroyed villages.

The Wither Storm being remembered from Minecraft Story Mode from TellTaleGames and used in an animation is just epic to see

This mob is a fictitious mob "Wizard Storm" that appears in the story mode of Minecraft. I'm looking forward to the precise movement of mobs and the camera work with Blender!

Nice, it’s animated pretty well and the set design, effects, and lighting are all pretty good. It’s pretty poorly paced though, and rushes through all of its scenes. Felt like it was speedrunning the story.
